TICS

ITSに関する標準化について、ISO(International Organization for Standardization/イソ/国際標準化機構)とITU(International Telecommunication Union/国際電気通信連合)の2つの国際機関が統合的に扱うための総称。ISOでは、1993年4月に第1回道路交通情報システムの国際標準設定を目指す専門委員会(ISO・TC-204)を開催した。ITUでは、1995年3月にTICSを新課題として正式に承認し、1997年までに勧告を作成する。米国のGAO(General Accounting Office/米国連邦会計監査院)は2002年9月20日に、ハイウェーの交通情報通信システムに関するレポートとして「Highway Infrastructure: Preliminary Information on the Timely Completion of Highway Construction Projects, by Katherine Siggerud, acting director, physical infrastructure issues, before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
