Welcome,

Come visit the New Century School House: the Constructiveatorium, the Electronic Research Lab, the Professional Work Space, and the Music Inventions room...all described and equipped by innovative and forward thinking educators from around the world.

The goal of the New Century School House is to provide innovative and forward thinking teachers with a canvas. On this canvas they can express their ideas on what classrooms should be like to better prepare students for the 21st century. This project also hopes to provide a resource for school planners and education reformers, a reservoir of ideas molded by the experience and passion of educators.

A third floor has just been added to the New Century School House providing fifteen new rooms. In addition (and after numerous requests) an outdoor area, called the 'Earth Station,' has also been opened for learning without walls.

Simply select an empty room and adopt it. Describe what you think teachers and students should be doing in your room to better prepare the students for the next century and the tools, furniture, and other items and arrangements that will be necessary to facilitate these activities.

You are also encouraged to visit rooms that have already been re-purposed, and post comments in these rooms with agreements, disagreements, suggestions, and additional ideas.
